Baby Boomer’s Gun CRITICALLY Wounds Granddaughter-UPDATE

A relative of the 4 year old South Carolina girl, who accidentally shot herself with her grandmother’s handgun in a Sam’s Club store said Tuesday the family expects the child to be out of the hospital by week’s end…

Salley, SC

Inease Williamson, the child’s great~grandmother released a statement today, stating that the child was recovering Tuesday after undergoing emergency surgery on Monday. “My great~granddaughter is doing much better,” she said. And that they expect the child to be home by the end of the week.

Inease Williamson also said “the child was riding in a shopping cart and playing with a cell phone, then grabbed the gun from her grandmother’s purse and shot herself in the chest.”.

Columbia Police Department spokesman Brick Lewis, says that Investigators plan to speak with the grandmother, Donna Hutto Williamson, on Thursday to see if criminal charges will be filed against her.

The hospital has upgraded the little girls condition from critical to stable. But will give no further details.

Chief Magistrate, Rodger Emerson Edmonds said it’s common for magistrates to carry guns for protection.

“Sometimes some of the judges have to make deposits at the banks,” he said. “The other reason is for self preservation to protect yourself because there are some crazies out there.”

Well Baby Boomers, look at Salley SC. you tell me how many “crazies” you see. Perhaps they are hiding behind that big pink elephant. And by the looks of this little town…well Baby Boomers, I do not think that your major criminals are looking to rush into this little town of 410 people to get a bank deposit. They might stop to get gas since there are probably no one else at the gas pumps…surly there is a gas station there!

I would expect nothing else but to have a magistrate stand up for another magistrate.

I think the only “crazies” out there are grandmothers who carry their handguns, loaded, with the safety OFF, in their purses and place them both next to an active 4 year old.

Baby Boomers, I am sorry but I vote a big thumbs down on this horrible, uncalled for, accident…I call it child endangerment! What say you?

To help you make that decision go to yesterdays post and get more detail…as this is an update.
