Healthy Blueberry~Lime Margarita
Summer is here and I will be posting FAST and HEALTHY recipes.
Here is a tasty, easy, great frozen concoction:
Servings: 2 intimate servings
Total Time: 10 minutes
Ease of Preparation: Easy
Health: Low Calorie, Low Sat Fat, Low Sodium, Heart Healthy
Ingredients for Blueberry~Lime Margarita:
2 cups ice
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup blueberry nectar
1/4 cup seltzer (or diet 7up)
2 tablespoons frozen limeade (adds zing to this stellar blueberry margarita
1 tablespoon lime juice (I prefer key lime juice!)
3 ounces tequila , optional, as with the worm
3 lime wedges
Coarse salt (being on a salt free diet, I skip the salt!)
Steps:
1: Combine ice, blueberries, blueberry nectar, seltzer, limeade, lime juice and tequila, if using, in a blender and blend until smooth. Rub rim of 2 glasses with lime wedge and dip in salt. Divide the margarita between the prepared glasses and serve. Decorate with a lime slice, topper with a blueberry
